Lincoln's Cottage National Monument

Washington DC

During President Lincoln's presidency, he resided in a house in the northwest section of DC during the summer months, to escape the heat of downtown Washington. After this site was declared a national monument by President Clinton, the National Trust for Historic Preservation began a major restoration. Russ served as owner's representative to review specifications, details, shop-drawings, and submittals, and to inspect work in progress.
